NOS genuine GM factory accessory adjustable outside rear view mirror, part number 981546.
There are two sets of instruction sheets included, one for 1953 and one for 1954. The 1953 instructions show it going through the door, and the 1954 instructions show it going through the dash, below the windshield (which would come out the fender).
Checking some of my other Buick Parts books, they show it retrofitted back to the 1950, 1951 and 1952 models, as well fitting just 1953-1954. Obviously, since the bodies were identical for 1954 - 1956, it will fit the 1955 - 1956 cars, too.
Also, looking in the Parts books, they show the outside bracket as being the exact same one as used for the Guide spotlight.
Seems to me I remember seeing other GM Divisions having a mirror like this, but don't remember whether Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile or Cadillac. But, I suppose it could be installed on any of them, if you really wanted to.

Shipping - Payment
A few words to make things easier.
1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising

you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.

, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.
2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.
