Vintage 1993 ICE (InterCityExpress) Train North America Tour Baseball Cap/Hat
The strap on the back (to adjust size of cap) is broken.
There is a stain near the top of cap.
Otherwise in good condition.
The ICE Train and
technology was the
German consortium Siemens/AEC entry in competition to supply Amtrak with
26 high-speed trains for use on the Washington-New York City-Boston Northeast Corridor (NEC).
Demonstrations were held in 19 cities between July and September, 1993, followed by service in regular
operations on the NEC between October and December
.
Seller received the cap on August 19, 1993, in connection with a demonstration run from Chicago Union Station to Hammond, IN and return.
