This is a very unique and beautiful
Antique Silver Bonbon Serving Bowl
with intricate figural decoration.
THIS IS TRULY A FABULOUS and very beautiful
Antique / Vintage Silver Bonbon Serving Bowl
with gorgeous embossed decoration. This uniquely shaped deep Serving Bowl has elaborate
Repoussé
pattern with vividly depicted wild animals on forest/jungle background, including elephant, lion, fox, hare, and hound dog. The design is carefully arranged in perfect harmony on curvy, round shaped bowl with various techniques. The top part is finely pierced, and the bowl is standing on casted tripod feet.
We could not find hallmarks on this lovely bowl, but we made an acid-test and guaranteed this is made of solid silver (not silver-plated.) Probably Indian silver.
Very good condition and ready to grace your table. A special find for you! Don't miss out!
Measurements & Condition
Almost 3 inch (7.3 cm) tall x 3 3/4 inch (9.5 cm) diameter.
Weight: 2.83 Troy ounces (88 grams.)
Good Estate Condition
with minor sign of light use. Trace of some old repairs, including connecting point of one of the feet. Some microscopic holes along the deeply embossed places and a few hairline cracks on the top part. Please refer the detail photos I added.
