Description
Beautiful antique sterling silver mid-17th to early 19th c. hand repoussee work classical scalloped border salver tray lot. ~ 11-1/8" diameter. The flat area has engine turning lines with a center dimple. Silver has been engine turned since ancient times but within the past 100- 150 years or so factories have used other less evidential methods of mfg that do not leave the telltale marks as hand smithed items. ~ 11-1/8" diameter x 3/4" H.~ 265.9 grams.
