This auction is for a still sealed full bottle (3/4 fld. Oz) of Great Seal ‘pure spirits,’ Peppermint produced by The Styron-Beggs Co., of Newark, Ohio.

manufacturing company specializing in grocers’ drugs, flavoring extracts, ammonia, bluing and home remedies. These products were sold under the Great Seal brand name. The company was founded in 1895 and, in 1909, employed between sixty and seventy people, not including approximately 12 traveling salesmen.
The Peppermint is U.S.P. Alcohol 85% with an average dose of 15 drops in water.
“The honor, integrity and responsibility of the maker is your guarantee of the purity and quality of this product,” is imprinted on the reverse of the box which measures 3 ½” high x 1 ½” wide x a little under 1” deep.
Imprinted on the bottom of the brown bottle is ‘9, and I in an circle and 4 and 2.’
