Composition
The active ingredients are Lactobacillus gasseri (EB 01TM) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus (PB01TM) (milk
acid bacteria). One EcoVag Balance vaginal capsule contains at least 1x108 live freezing
method of drying lactic acid bacteria.
Excipients are anhydrous glucose, lactitol monohydrate, corn starch, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, titanium dioxide, magnesium stearate. Contains no preservatives, gelatin or other substances of animal origin.

Ecovag Balance contains two proprietary strains of probiotic Lactobacillus (lactic acid) bacteria, selected for their excellent properties to maintain and restore normal vaginal microflora.
By producing lactic acid, Lactobacillus bacteria maintain a stable vaginal acidic environment (pH) and thus promote natural protection against vaginal infections. EcoVag Balance protects against such changes in the vagina as itching, discharge, bad odor, redness, irritation or burning sensation. These unpleasant sensations in the vagina can be a sign of inflammation, such as bacterial vaginosis.
If bacterial vaginosis tends to recur, EcoVag Balance can reduce the frequency of such recurrences.
What you need to know about lactic acid bacteria
Lactic acid bacteria are present in the vaginal bacteria under physiological conditions. They produce lactic acid and thus maintain a normal acidic medium (pH) of the vaginal mucosa. In this way, the reproduction of unwanted bacteria that can cause vaginal inflammation is naturally inhibited.
Causes of vaginal changes
Symptoms such as itching, burning, and discharge may be signs of inflammation caused by fungi or bacteria, resulting in a change in the composition of the vaginal flora. These diseases must be diagnosed by a doctor.
The normal vaginal environment, which is mainly determined by lactic acid bacteria with a reaction of pH 3.8-4.5, can change for various reasons: washing, sexual intercourse, menstruation, intimate hygiene measures, metabolic disorders (e.g. diabetes mellitus), stress, changes in hormonal balance (e.g. during pregnancy, menopause), antibiotic use, vaginal drugs.

Using EcoVag Balance
One vaginal capsule should be inserted deep into the vagina every night before going to bed. Duration of use is 8 days.
If necessary, EcoVag Balance can be used longer.
It is not recommended to use EcoVag Balance during menstruation.
Can be used during pregnancy only after consulting a doctor.
EcoVag Balance can be used during breastfeeding.
Possible side effects
No side effects have occurred so far. It cannot be denied that allergic reactions may occur in rare cases. If signs of allergy appear, you should immediately stop using the product and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
EcoVag Balance should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to any substance contained in EcoVag Balance.
Interaction
The effect of lactic acid bacteria may be reduced when EcoVag Balance is used together with antibacterial agents (eg antibiotics).
Restrictions on use
EcoVag Balance is not suitable for the treatment of immature girls, babies and small children.
