    Description

Genuine UL Listed Copeland Secure Start soft start module for 1 phase 200-230V central A/C units that draw up to 32 RLA (amps while running). Don't throw your hard earned $ away on those bogus hard start capacitors that will kill your compressor in short order. It's the hard starting that kills the capacitors and compressors to begin with. If you didn't know, these work entirely differently and are simply the greatest things since sliced bread. I actually use these modules myself at all my properties including our winter residence in Central FL (Hurricane Alley) where the power goes out frequently and often for weeks at a time during hurricanes. And when the power goes out here, you will die without your central A/C, so any generator is useless if it cannot run the central A/C.
Problem is, central A/C units require an enormous amount of initial inrush current to start the compressors. Very few generators at all much less smaller portable units are able to supply this start up current to run your central A/C. The massive generators guzzle down far too much fuel to be practical as gas is hard to get and hard to store up to keep those monsters going in an outage.
Our smaller, portable 7,500 watt running, 8,750 watt starting generator with efficient Honda GX390 engine and 8 gallon fuel tank had plenty enough oomph to run either of our A/C units 16, and 21 amp running current but couldn't handle either's startup. Enter this bad boy... We bought 2 of them back in 2010 for both our upstairs and downstairs 3 and 4 ton central A/C units and they've both been going strong ever since without a single problem so I know these units are tried and true. Never had to replace any run capacitors either in all this time.
Besides, being able to use your central A/C with a simple interlock and smaller portable generator you can actually keep gas in for more than a few hours, these things have many more benefits and are a must have for any home owner regardless if you even have a generator. Anyone who has ever experienced compressor failure knows, it basically means an entire new central A/C UNIT at the tune of -8 THOUSAND DOLLARS!
95% of compressor wear/tear occurs at startup. These motors get killed during the massive start surge when the rotor translates before it can start spinning. The heavy torque and sudden, violent shock to THE compressor bearings and components destroy it over time along with the run capacitor and contactor as well. This gizmo significantly extends the life of your compressor by reducing this shock and stress of sudden starts. It eliminates the dangerous and destructive voltage sag so your lights no longer dim when the A/C kicks on. Saves your contactor as no arching and your run capacitor as they really take a beating by the instant surge.
This thing pays for itself many, many times over just in saving your central A/C UNIT. If you have an older unit with a compressor that's going bad and hard/intermittently starting, this can keep it going for years saving you thousands of dollars in a replacement unit. Put it on a new unit from the get go and it will last for decades on end.
Everyone raves about the 70%+ reduction in start up inrush current but it also reduced the running amperage by 11 amps between both our units. This in turn translated to a a month saving on our electric bill! If you have inverters or solar, or off grid,  this is definitely for you folks as well. This takes about 10 minutes for a knowledgeable individual to install. Brand new in the factory sealed retail box with paperwork as pictured.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I'm a long time, established seller (since 1997) and I do not send out defective or damaged product! This is my policy with all electronics due to their nature/installer error, and past experiences with unscrupulous buyers. I record all serial numbers and inconspicuously mark everything that goes out my door. Returns are costly and time consuming. Unfortunately, I'm not a big box giant or retail conglomerate like Walmart or Home Depot. I'm just a working class individual who primarily sells unneeded items around my home for a loss. I cannot afford to merely absorb the cost of returns. Therefore, there are NO returns of this module to me under any circumstances. You blow it up and it's yours to keep forever. By you buying this module, you're agreeing to this entire paragraph.
