Historical note
It was built in the USA for the Turkish Fleet. It participated in the Baltic Wars. During the World War I it was in the Black Sea.
On April 3, 1915, being in the head of the ship group, consisting of the cruiser “Hamidiye” and the torpedo boat destroyers “Muavenet-i Milliye”, “Yadigar-i Milliye”, “Tasoz” and “Samsun”,  during the attempt to take Odessa under fire, it tripped a Russian mine and was finished off with a torpedo, sent by the torpedo boat destroyer “Yadigar-i Milliye”.
On June 9, 1915, it was weighted up by the Russian wreckers and towed to Odessa for repair. On June 26, 1915, it was enlisted into the Black Sea Fleet. On Mai 1, 1918, it was gained in Sevastopol by the German troops and returned to Turkey.
