    Description

    Here is an early silver sweet meat basket. Dating back to the late 1700's early 1800's. The workmanship is fantastic on this piece. The piercing and chasing were hand done by a master silversmith. Very fine and delicate work. There are numerous hall marks on this, but I'm not sure of the country of original. It may be France or Holland. There are a helmeted head and stars marked on it as well as lettering. This piece is 800 or 900 silver. Weight on this piece is 5.3 ounces or 151 grams. Measurements are 6 1/8" by 4 1/2" by 2".
