Vintage 1800's A.G. Meier Chicago Conductor's Hat 19th Century

Vintage 1800's A.G. Meier Chicago Conductor's Hat 19th Century. There is wear on leather brim of hat and the leather interior hat band has some crackling and wear. The back of this hat has some scuffs/spots of wear, shown in last photo. Flaws are pictured. Good condition considering it's age and use as a work uniform cap. This cap was bought off of a woman who's grandfather was a train conductor, operating on a line that ran from New Orleans, Memphis, then Chicago. This woman was in her mid 90's, so this means that this hat is from somewhere in the early to mid 1800s, so it's easy to say it's been there, done that, and survived longer than anyone who's ever worn it. Awesome find, an authentic article, with actual historical significance :)
