    For sale is a vintage DURKEE SALAD DRSSING BOTTLE from E.R. Durkee & Company, New York. This twist top bottle is marked on the bottom with an April 17, 1877 patent date. The patent rights pertained to the bottle design rather than the salad dressing. Bottle is scratched and cloudy. Bottle stands about 6 1/2 inches tall. The top collar of the bottle has the following embossed letters: "E R DURKEE & CO NEW YORK".
