Vintage Hazel-Atlas Jug, Clear Glass, 4 ounces, ribbed sides

$ 3.3

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

Offering a pre-owned vintage Hazel-Atlas glass jug.
This clear glass jug is small, only about 4 1/2 inches tall.
The jug has ribbed sides and one handle.
It has the Hazel-Atlas trademark H over A on the bottle and the item number, k-805.
This trademark symbol was used in1923.
I found a chart that helps explain the markings on the bottom and it appears that the K represents the manufacturing plant in Zanesville #2; the 8 is the standard mold, and the 05 is the mold number and set number.
Top opening is about 7/8 inch across for the outside diameter.
There are threads for a screw on cap but there is no cap / lid.
A cork could be used for a lid if one wished.
Bottle will hold a little over 4ounces or 1/2 cup if you fill it to the very top.
I believe the bottle originally held syrup but there are no labels to indicate what was originally in the bottle.
Bottle measures about 2"across on the bottom.
Normal wear and tear.
Bottle has some scuffs and scratches but is not cracked or chipped and has no rough edges.
