What is Latex?
In its pure form, latex is the milky white liquid that is pumped from the trunks of mature rubber trees (heveabrasiliensis).
The Talalay Production Process
A certain amount of lightly sparkling latex is poured into a large solid mold-box in such a way as to fill only part of the mold. The cover is sealed and the latex spreads in the vacuum and fills the entire mold. Once the latex fills the mold, it begins to "stand" and, in order not to deflate, lower the temperature to -30 ° C, the latex cools and accumulates. The latex piece / sheet or latex pad first goes through a wash roller / roller to rinse off any detergent residues and impurities and then a manganese roller to drain the water.
The product then moves under a dryer system before reaching the physical control station. Each latex piece is checked separately to ensure it meets the required density and hardness requirements before being placed on the market or converted into a mattress or pillow.
